Phoenix Totesau-Johnson, M.Ed., is an education specialist, consultant, and founder of AsToldByPhi—a platform rooted in intentional living, career alignment, and personal growth. She currently serves as an Education Specialist with The New York Foundling, where she supports K–12 youth across New York City, particularly those in foster care and underserved communities, by advocating for equitable academic support, monitoring progress, and collaborating with school and case planning teams to ensure long-term success.
Her work is grounded in both lived experience and professional practice, giving her a unique ability to connect healing with structure. Through her experiences in education, Phoenix has developed a deep understanding of how systems, environments, and support impact not only academic outcomes, but identity, confidence, and future direction.
As the founder of AsToldByPhi, Phoenix shows up as the “big sister” for those learning how to strategize their life and career—creating spaces that promote growth and peace while encouraging discipline, self-awareness, and aligned decision-making. Her work supports youth and young professionals in navigating transitions, redefining their paths, and building lives that feel both intentional and sustainable.
She is the creator of the Four Quarter Method, a framework designed to guide individuals toward realistic and tangible success across all areas of life. Rooted in strategy, discipline, and intentional planning, the method encourages individuals to move through life in seasons—developing systems that not only support their goals, but also pour back into their well-being.
Phoenix’s work sits at the intersection of healing, structure, and alignment—supporting individuals in reconnecting with themselves while confidently building careers and lives that reflect who they are becoming.
